Conical Mandrel

The TQC Sheen Conical Bend Test Mandrel is a laboratory device for bending test panels onto a conical shaped mandrel, in order to evaluate the elasticity or resistance of a coating, paints and varnishes to breaking, elongation and/or detachment from a test metal panel, in accordance with ISO 6860 and ASTM D522. The conical shape of the bending point allows the deformation of the test panel and the examination of the different elasticities of a coating on any diameter between 3.1 and 38mm in a single test.
