Over 40 years of history, supporting laboratories around the world
The company’s history began in 1984, when it started representing quality control instrumentation systems.
Year after year, our catalogue and our premises have grown alongside us. Now, after more than 40 years, Noselab ATS is based in Bovisio Masciago ( MB – ITALY ), and it is from here that we serve laboratories around the world.
In the early days, under the guidance of Gianluigi Nosenzo, our founder, we took our first steps in the textile and coatings industries. Since then, our range of instruments has continued to expand and now includes specialised equipment for fire reaction testing, physical and mechanical testing of plastics, and the inspection of industrial finishes and coatings.

1985
The business began with the manufacture of equipment for testing materials.
Gianluigi Nosenzo launches the production of equipment for materials testing, in collaboration with the National Research Laboratories.
It is here that Noselab has built Italy’s first chamber for measuring the optical density of smoke
The 1990s
Exclusive agents for Macbeth U.S.A. in Italy
A few years after expanding its premises in Nova Milanese – MI, the company became the exclusive agent for the MACBETH brand. The technical and sales department helped establish it as the national leader in colour measurement and standard lighting.
Acquisition of the DEFELSKO U.S.A. and SHEEN INSTRUMENTS U.K. brands for the instrumental analysis of paints and plastics.
2000
Noselab’s production continues to expand
In the new millennium, development and production are moving towards innovation. Production begins of SBI(Single Burning Item) and the Colorimetric Cone, in accordance with ISO 5660, the new large-scale apparatus for fire reaction testing.
The instruments are supplied to leading national and international research centres: ENEA, CNR, RINA, C.S.I., CATAS, FIRA, the Ministry of the Interior and AITEX.
2010
A major step forward: Noselab ATS Srl is officially established
Following the acquisition of a company specialising in the manufacture of plastic testing equipment, Noselab has officially become Noselab ATS Srl.
In-house production now includes: characterisation of raw materials, physical and mechanical testing, ageing tests and thermal testing.
2013
New international horizons are opening up
Noselab ATS instruments are entering new markets in China, Russia and the Middle East.
The in-house team is growing stronger and the company is taking part in the most important trade fairs in the sector.
2019
35 years since our foundation: an anniversary that reinforces our commitment
Noselab ATS has diversified its production and internal operations to support various industrial sectors.
The range of instrumentation, which is becoming ever more extensive and innovative, is designed to simplify and automate measurement processes in order to support the development of increasingly competitive materials.
2022
Our new headquarters are officially in Bovisio Masciago (MB)
New, modern spaces set amidst the greenery of Brianza.
Here, the production areas are being expanded and the assembly and testing lines are being reorganised.
From supply to structured production
Whilst in its early stages the company focused primarily on the distribution and installation of specialised equipment, today 70 per cent of its business consists of the in-house manufacture of test machines.
The remainder of our range consists of selected international brands, supplied through a number of long-standing partnerships, which complement and round off the solutions on offer.
At Noselab ATS, manufacturing and sales operate in parallel: we supply instruments, application support and metrological verification services.
